Kirsten O’Regan is a writer, editor, and communications professional.

Her freelance writing has been published by Middle East Eye, The Spinoff, Guernica, Hyperallergic, The Paris Review Daily, VICE, Roads and Kingdoms, The National, BBC Travel, and The Tehran Bureau (hosted by The Guardian), among others.

She has worked as a communications advisor at UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, and in the office of New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern. She has written and edited for museums, humanitarian organizations, think tanks, literary magazines, and news publications.

She holds an MA in Cultural Reporting and Criticism from New York University and a BA in English Literature and International Relations from Victoria University of Wellington. She is completing a postgraduate diploma in Climate Change and Development, through SOAS.

In her spare time, you’ll find her outside.
